The wedding will be held at Azurara Beach in Vila do Conde, Portugal, 25 km south of Esposende which is the hometown of Sonia´s family located in the northwest coast of Portugal. For those of you who have never attended a Portuguese wedding we assure you it is an event you don´t want to miss (and for those of you who have participated before in Portuguese weddings – well you already know..)
The ceremony and following dinner/party will be held at Set Lounge on the beach, at this moment we do not yet have an agreed time for the ceremony – this will be announced later through this website. However, we plan to start the day around 14.00. Food & drinks are included throughout the day and for those of you living near Esposende area bus transports will be arranged to and from the wedding venue.
If you would like to give a speech, or if you have other performance plans at the wedding please contact Diana.fragueiro@hotmail.com. This is not normally part of a portuguese wedding and we dont expect a lot of speaches but if you would like to do something please announce it to Diana.
As for wedding gifts your participation is more than plenty, if you still would like to give something we ask you to contribute to a future family trip :)

As Esposende and surrounding areas are rather small the public transport system is rather limited, same goes for the Taxis which are very hard to come by, therefore we recommend that you consider renting a car for your stay. Here are some useful links:
There are two major airports in Portugal: Lisbon and Oporto. Oporto airport is the closest one to Esposende (around 45 km). We recommend to book flight tickets as early as possible to get a lower price.
Portugal is not a big country but there are plenty of sightseeing, beaches and great food. If you choose to spend part of or your full Portugal visit in the Esposende area here some recommendations that are worth a visit:
